The PROMETHEE-GAIA multicriteria decision aid methodology has been developed by Professor Jean-Pierre Brans and myself at the ULB and VUB universities of Brussels since 1982.

The PROMETHEE and GAIA methods have been implemented by their authors in different software :

 

• PromCalc in the 1990's,
• Decision Lab in the 2000's, (developed by the Canadian company Visual Decision under a collaboration agreement with our department)
• Visual PROMETHEE which is currently available for download from the PROMETHEE-GAIA.net web site. The Academic Edition (for non-profit research and teaching only) can be downloaded directly here:

PROMETHEE Days workshops are organized annually to provide researchers, practitioners and users of the PROMETHEE methods with a meeting place to exchange their experience, develop networks and generate new developments:

 

• PROMETHEE Days 2016 in Montréal, Canada, on May 2-4, 2016, together with the Optimization Days 2016 international conference.
• PROMETHEE Days 2017 in Portsmouth, UK, in May 2019.
• PROMETHEE Days 2018 in Heraklion, Greece, on May 22-25, 2018, together with the ICDSST 2018 meeting of the EWG on Decision Support Systems.
• PROMETHEE Days 2019 in Split, Croatia, on May 22-24, 2019.
• PROMETHEE Days 2020 in Rabat (electronically), Morocco, on June 2-4, 2020.
• PROMETHEE Days 2021 in Thessaloniki, Greece, on October 12-14, 2021.
• PROMETHEE Days 2022 in Brussels, 2022.
• PROMETHEE Days 2022 East will take place in Pune, India, on April, 2022.
